Join Justice4Gemmel + All of Ed Buck's Victims at the upcoming countywide Policing and Human Relations public hearing of the Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission. Come out and share the story of Gemmel Moore and your disappointment in how the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has handled the case as well as their ignoring prior victims of Ed Buck who tried to report him.
The hearing will take place Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Los Angeles Trade Tech College in Room 101 in Aspen Hall (2215 S. Grand Ave.).
The hearing is the sixth in a series of public hearings that are being used as opportunities to assist the Commission in strengthening trust between police and communities, and advancing positive intergroup relations through policing practices. Members of the community are invited to share their experiences of interactions with law enforcement, including the LAPD, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), within Los Angeles County and/or provide recommendations to address policing issues.
The hearing is being presented in conjunction with the African American Policy Forum, Gender Justice LA, TransLatin@ Coalition and the San Fernando Valley’s Somos Familia Valle.
